1. Change in the education system. The current education system is old and obsolete in many ways. People are now in a "Brain Age", thus changes happen much quicker yet education is way behind. If we go back into history, we realise that the "Farming Age" lasted 4-5 thousand years, the "Industrial Age" only 120 years, "Hospitality Age" just 20 years, so this alone gives us a food for thought. Humanity must follow the changes in order to keep afloat. Schools in particular along with universities must embrace the fact that current educational system is in dramatic need of change. There have been much work and research done to prove this, but it seems like the people responsible for education are still years behind.
Today it is a well-known fact how our brain works, how it takes in information and how it retains it. Thus schools, colleges and universities must get involved in these changes. Monologue type of education is no longer viable. Distributing tablets between pupils and not getting them to stretch their brain power is making their brain useless. With humans only using 2% of their brain capacity, automation and digitalisation are great, but it takes away the thinking abilities of children and adults. The human brain needs stimulation, it must be used to deal with a variety of things in order to develop and stay in good shape.
Therefore, the modern education system should be concentrating on interactive accelerated learning. Students should be thought how to store the information in their brain so that it stays there. We are living in the constant change age. Speed is now the key to success, thus our education system should be adjusting to these. Otherwise, we will be in the dark age.
2. Business must adjust. Small and medium business is the fundamental part of the Tax system of any country, therefore small and medium size business is the one where the changes are very slow, thus causing over 95% of new businesses to fail within 5 years of starting.
Most small and medium-sized business have its owners working in the business rather than on the business. Many do not upgrade their knowledge and do not take time to gain an education. We meet many business owners who say that they are far to busy to read a book or take a half day off to meet other business owners or take part in a seminar or a course.
Being a part of a referral group we see how many business owners are not making any effort to make changes. They seem to know it all and not need to know more. This is no longer the truth, as it is vital for everyone to read more, to learn more, to research more. Only by constant self-education do we are able to stay connected and at the top of our business. We cannot stand still and wait for it to happen.
3. How to embrace change. First, we as humanity must change our mindset. To help do that we must work on changing our way of thinking, and take action. Be hard on ourselves and consistent with our decisions. Here are some tips for getting the change and act.
