Alternative business models versus traditional business. This is a topic of the era, considering the staggering growth of the business online. The other day I took my husband to a small town outside Manchester where I was to do a short assignment for a client. We had a short walk about the town centre. Beautiful, hot day, people about, yet what was most striking, the many shop fronts closed down. This is not a sign of recession, but sign of changing habits of shopping clients. The younger generation of shoppers more often purchase online, people are using the internet for bargains, there they are able to purchase from their own home, and anywhere they are at that moment in time. It is a well-known fact that mobile devices are now the major tool for any online activity, including shopping.
There are millions of people selling products and services online, and millions of customers are making purchases a habit. In the future, we will be sing just showrooms rather than fully pledged shops. Transport companies are killing each other for the business and here again will come a time, when only the best will stay. So how individuals can benefit from this changing times? What can we do in order to adapt and take those changes into our stride?
In the last few years, there have also been dramatic increase in direct distribution. More and more companies, started to look for a more economical way of moving their products and services to the end user. Coca Cola, Philips, and many other giants of retailers are now moving ever so closely into a direct sale distribution. This means that Multilevel marketing companies are springing here and there every day. So let me answer now the difference and the benefits of alternative business models versus traditional business.
The pro`s and con`s of traditional business:
1. No boss - yes, however, you are committed to work more than ever.
2. Workforce - Having staff is helpful, however, you must invest in their development for the business to be successful.
3. Setting up costs - these can be from 0- millions, subject to what you wish to do.
4. Recession - can have a very damaging influence on your business.
5. Overheads - can be quite costly, and can be a big burden.
6. Premises - purchase or lease, often mortgaged or on a loan.
Alternative business
1. No high start-up costs - can be started from 0 - few hundred pounds.
2. On going support.
3. Education.
4. Often worldwide reach. - You can have an international business at no extra cost.
5. Flexible hours.
6. More free time.
7. Can be worked anywhere.
8. Huge leverage in earnings.
9. No storage, or building needed, can be run from home.
10.Unlimited potential.
Alternative business, mainly MLM or network marketing is one of the most ethical business ideas available. It is a duplication business, which everyone can do without any special skills. The best is that this business grows all the time and bring much better results. So for instance: Lest have two people`s example: Mel is a Professional Network Marketing expert working just one hour per week. She has a team of 5 partners, who duplicate her business, that means that Mel`s business is doing 6 hours p week. Then we have John, who is working at an Estate Agency, his basic hours are, 40 per week. Mel, has added 5 more partners to her business in the space of one year, now her business is bigger, Mel continues to work 1 hour a week, but her business is actually doing 11 hours a week, while John is still at the office working 40 hours each week. In the second year, mel`s business grew to 125 partners, meaning that her business is now putting 126 hours every week, while John is still working 40 hours.
Now imagine if Mel would only get £5.00 per partner as a commission, plus her own work , that would for example be £625.00 per month, Then in the third year, Mel`s business grew to 625 partners, working 626 hours each week, making her commission growing to £3125 each month, while John is still putting 40 hours each week for nearly the same wages, as it only has grown by 0.50 p hours. Leaving John with a net pay of say £1400.00 per month. In the fourth year Mel`s business is now working with 3125 partners, and Mel is still only putting 1 h per week into her business, but with all of her partners added together her business is at 3126 hours per week input thus paying her a passive income of £15630 each month.John is still at 40 h per week and his wages in year four has gone up by .5% , he is getting 1407 each month.
You can see the power of leverage that multilevel marketing is offering, the alternative way of doing business which is now taking the world by storm. We have now the best time to get into such an opportunity and take advantage of it.
There are many alternative ways of making money via the internet such as affiliate marketing, where one sell other peoples products or services. Alternatively, why not create own product? The latter, however can be very costly if we do not know what we do. Sadly, the are very many dishonest people out there looking out for those who are easy to convert. I have been there and have lost about 20k on learning.
For me, network marketing is the best way to do business and I strongly recommend it.
